‘The Masked Singer’ unmasks Eggplant on Ozzy Osbourne tribute night

Actor and singer Jack Wagner was revealed as the celebrity behind the Eggplant costume on the latest episode of The Masked Singer.

The unmasking came during Wednesday’s “OzzFest Night” episode, which paid tribute to late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. Kelly Osbourne joined the judging panel as a guest for the special broadcast.

Wagner, known for roles in General Hospital and Melrose Place, was eliminated after landing in the bottom two alongside High Voltage.

Judges miss the correct guess

None of the panelists correctly identified Wagner before the reveal.

Ken Jeong came closest by guessing another General Hospital star, Rick Springfield. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg suggested REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin, while Rita Ora guessed Nathan Lane. Robin Thicke chose Kenny Loggins, and Kelly Osbourne suggested Alice Cooper.

During the episode, Eggplant performed “One Step Closer” by Linkin Park.

Earlier in the show, contestants Pangolin, Eggplant, High Voltage and Galaxy Girl opened the episode with a group performance of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train”.

Seven contestants remain

The bottom two contestants battled with performances of “Iron Man” by Ozzy Osbourne. High Voltage advanced in the competition, leaving Eggplant to be unmasked.

Wagner’s clue packages referenced his decades-long career in entertainment and a memorable appearance at the recording session for “We Are the World” after receiving an invitation from producer Quincy Jones.

With Eggplant eliminated, the remaining contestants include High Voltage, Pangolin, Galaxy Girl, Stingray, Cat Witch, Pugcasso and Crane.

Season 14 continues with host Nick Cannon and panelists McCarthy-Wahlberg, Jeong, Ora and Thicke.
