RAWALPINDI: In a thrilling encounter at Rawalpindi Stadium, New Zealand secured a commanding 7-wicket win over Pakistan in the third T20 match. Opting to field first after winning the toss, the Kiwi side restricted Pakistan to 178/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 179, New Zealand’s batsmen showed remarkable composure as they reached the target in just 18.2 overs, losing only 3 wickets along the way. Mark Chapman led the charge with an unbeaten 87-run knock, ably supported by Dane Cleaver (31), Tim Robinson (28), and Tim Seifert (21).

Pakistan’s bowling effort saw Abbas Afridi claiming 2 wickets, while Naseem Shah managed to dismiss one Kiwi batsman.

With this victory, the five-match T20 series is now level at 1-1, with the first match having been drawn due to rain interruptions.

Looking ahead, the action will shift to Lahore Stadium for the remaining two matches of the series, scheduled for April 25th and 27th.
