Security forces killed 13 militants during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the operations targeted militants described as belonging to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khawarij.
One of the operations was carried out in the Bara area of Khyber District after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants. Security forces launched an intelligence-based operation and effectively engaged the suspected hideouts.
During the exchange of fire, 10 militants were killed, the ISPR said, adding that their positions were targeted with precision.
In a separate operation at another location in the province, three more militants were neutralised, bringing the total number of those killed to 13.
The military said the operations were part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militant threats and ensure stability in the region. Further details about the second operation were not immediately disclosed.
