Thousands stopped at airports over incomplete and suspicious travel documents, FIA reveals

WEB DESK: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has reported that 39,786 citizens were offloaded from different airports across the country while attempting to travel abroad.

According to the FIA, 20,408 individuals were stopped due to incomplete or missing travel documents, while 12,673 passengers were offloaded because of suspicious travel documents.

The agency said 3,450 citizens were prevented from travelling as their names appeared on the stop list, while 505 people were offloaded due to incorrect travel routes.

The FIA further said that 281 passengers were stopped at airports over possession of fake travel documents.
