Three soldiers martyred in N Waziristan suicide blast

RAWALPINDI: At least three soldiers were martyred and several civilians injured after a suicide bomber in car exploded himself in Miran Shah in North Waziristan district on Wednesday.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the martyred soldiers were identified Naib Subaidar Sahib Khan, Naik Mohammad Ibrahim and Sepoy Jahangir.

According to the ISPR , the suicide bomber targeted a security forces’ checkpoint, but the prompt action by vigilant personnel prevented a major catastrophe. The injured victims and the martyred were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and medico-legal formalities.

As per the ISPR,  search operation had been launched in the area to apprehend the abbetors behind the heinous act.

The military’s media wing reiterated the security forces unwavering determination to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan, stating that such sacrifices by brave individuals further strengthen their resolve.
