Thunderstorms, hail forecasted across parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by rain and hailstorms in various parts of the country over the next few days.

According to the department, there is a risk of landslides in vulnerable areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir amid the expected weather conditions.

The PMD has also warned of possible flooding in streams and seasonal nullahs in Khuzdar, Awaran, Kharan, Kalat, and Mastung.

Similarly, flash flooding is likely in Kohlu, Lasbela, Zhob, Qilla Saifullah, Qilla Abdullah, and Sherani.

The department further cautioned that hailstorms in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may cause damage to standing crops.
