TikToker arrested for making videos donning police uniform

PESHAWAR: Peshawar police have detained a TikToker who created and posted videos while donning a fake police uniform on social media platforms.

Authorities revealed that the individual, in a misleading act, pretended to be a police officer for content creation, primarily featuring on the popular app TikTok.

While in police custody, the accused expressed remorse for his actions, pledging to abstain from producing such videos in the future.

In an attempt to dissuade fellow TikTokers, the apprehended individual conveyed a message advising against creating content that mimics police uniforms or portrays law enforcement in a negative light.

During the arrest, the police recovered the fake police uniform and the individual’s mobile phone.

A formal case has been registered against the accused, highlighting the legal consequences of impersonating law enforcement officials.
