Bushra bibi case

ISLAMABAD:  Bushra Bibi, the wife of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister who is currently serving his 3-year sentence, has been granted interim bail by the Islamabad Accountability Court.

This development comes in the wake of a summons issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), requesting her presence. The NAB notice required Bushra Bibi to bring along relevant documents pertaining to the Toshakhana case.

Additionally, Bushra Bibi was instructed to appear before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) as per the NAB notice. The interim bail granted by the Islamabad Accountability Court indicates a temporary reprieve for her in the ongoing legal proceedings.

Earlier it was reported that the JIT has sent off recordings of her voice to be forensically tested.
