Tourism dept announces free stay at rest houses for stranded tourists in Naran

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Department has announced that rest houses are available for free to tourists stranded in Naran. According to Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor for Tourism, the department will provide all necessary facilities to tourists in both Naran and Battakundi.
Chanzeb also noted that, for the safety of tourists, the Tourism Police and Tourism Authority staff are on-site. Tourists needing assistance can contact the Tourism Department’s helpline at 1422, Chanzeb added.
Tourists from across Pakistan and abroad who flocked to the valley for its cool climate and stunning vistas now find themselves trapped. Many are confined to hotels and guesthouses with dwindling supplies, while others are taking refuge in temporary shelters set up by local authorities.
