Traffic diversions announced in Islamabad: here’s how to beat the rush…

ISLAMABAD: The federal capital Islamabad will see some traffic anomalies on Thursday morning. The Islamabad traffic authorities have announced temporary traffic diversions in the city from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.

During these hours, diversions will be enforced on Srinagar Highway at Zero Point and on the Garden Avenue Express Highway. Commuters are advised to avoid these routes and plan their travel accordingly.

Citizens can use alternative routes including Jinnah Avenue, 9th Avenue, 7th Avenue, Club Road and inner-city service roads to reach their destinations.

The Islamabad Traffic Police have also urged motorists to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for travel to prevent delays and inconvenience. Traffic police officers will be deployed at key points to guide road users and manage traffic during the diversion period.
