WEB DESK: The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory and diversion plan for the 4th Muharram procession scheduled to take place in the Bhara Kahu area.

According to the traffic plan, the procession will start from the Jalal Hussain Bhara Kahu residence and will proceed through the Bari Imam area before concluding at Imambargah Rabi Risalat on Murree Road. To ensure the smooth movement of the procession and maintain public safety, traffic diversions will be implemented along the route.

During the procession, traffic on Murree Road will be diverted from the Omaniya U-Turn to the CDI U-Turn. Additionally, a diversion will be in place for vehicles traveling on Murree Road near the Malpur Bypass.

The Islamabad Traffic Police has also announced alternative routes for commuters to minimise inconvenience. Citizens traveling from Bhara Kahu to Kohsar Block have been advised to use Shahpur Road. Similarly, motorists coming to Islamabad from Murree should also utilise Shahpur Road as an alternate route.

Meanwhile, travelers heading from Islamabad towards Murree have been advised to use the bypass road to avoid congestion and road closures associated with the procession.

For further traffic updates and information regarding road closures and diversions, citizens are advised to follow the official social media accounts of the Islamabad Traffic Police or tune in to FM 92.4.
