ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: As the Tri-Nation Cricket Series continues at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium through November 29, local authorities have issued an updated traffic advisory, urging commuters to plan ahead and expect delays.

According to officials, traffic flow is likely to be temporarily disrupted during the movement of international cricket teams traveling between Islamabad and the stadium. Citizens have been advised to factor in an additional 15 to 20 minutes to their travel time, particularly during match hours and team movements.

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) announced that over 300 officers will be stationed at key routes and intersections to manage the expected surge in traffic and ensure smooth movement for both spectators and regular commuters. The enhanced deployment comes as part of broader security and logistical measures surrounding the high-profile sporting event.

Authorities cautioned that motorists may experience delays on major corridors, including the Express Highway and Srinagar Highway, where intermittent closures or diversions may occur. Commuters are urged to remain patient, follow police instructions, and stay updated through official channels.

The Tri-Nation series has drawn large crowds since its opening, and officials say similar advisories will remain in place until the tournament concludes later this month.

The details of the closure points and routes details will be shared later, as and when they happen, but the denizens are requested to incorporate the additional commuting time to avoid any difficulties later.
