WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump claimed that the United States is experiencing an economic turnaround under his administration, while blaming Democrats for leaving behind high inflation and a weakened economy.

He said his government has removed more than 5,000 “career criminals” through the US border, calling it part of a broader effort to strengthen national security and restore stability.

Trump argued that he inherited an economy already suffering from significant inflation and rising costs, which he attributed to previous Democratic policies.

He said his administration has focused on reducing energy prices and pointed to record highs in the stock market as evidence that the economy is improving.

The US president added that Democrats had promoted the issue of “affordability,” but insisted that his government was dealing with the consequences of what he described as long-term economic mismanagement.

Looking back, Trump said the country was in a weak position two years ago, but claimed it has since become stronger under his leadership.

He also said the Supreme Court would play a key role in supporting his administration’s agenda going forward.

Trump acknowledged that the cost of living and personal freedoms remain ongoing challenges, but said his government is actively working to address them.

He concluded by saying that if he had not won the election, the United States would have continued on a path of decline.
