Trump plans to restrict immigration from “Third World countries”

Trump Immigration

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has announced that his administration will take steps to permanently halt immigration to the United States from all “Third World countries” so that the country’s immigration system can be fully restored.

In a message on his social media website ‘Truth Social,’ on the occasion of Thanksgiving, Trump said that the US immigration system is under “extraordinary pressure” and must be completely stopped in order to restore it.

Trump claimed that the foreign population in the United States has reached 53 million, a large number of whom are people who, according to him, come from welfare programs, criminal records, or failed countries.

He alleged that this population is a huge burden on the resources of the American people and that this is why crime, a poor education system, unemployment and civil problems have increased in the country.

He claimed that the average immigrant with an income of $30,000 receives about $50,000 in state benefits annually, adding that the actual immigrant population is much higher than the official figures.

In his lengthy statement, Trump referred to the state of Minnesota, saying that “Somali immigrants have changed the face of the state,” and he also strongly criticised the state’s governor and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.

Trump said that his administration would permanently block immigration from “all Third World countries,” deport “all illegal immigrants” who entered the country during the Biden era, and revoke the citizenship of those who are “not an asset to the United States” or “not compatible with Western civilisation.”

The president announced that federal benefits and subsidies would be limited to American citizens only. “Reverse migration,” he said, is the only permanent solution to this problem.

Trump concluded his statement with a stern tone, saying, “Those who hate, harm, or destroy America will not be here long.”

It should be remembered that the Trump administration has been implementing stricter immigration laws, increased border surveillance, and changes to visa policies for the past few years. The latest announcement is being described as a major and unprecedented development in this regard.
