Trump supporter goes viral for mimicking president during Georgia rally

WEB DESK: A supporter attending US President Donald Trump’s rally in Marietta, Georgia, drew attention after appearing to imitate the president’s signature gestures while seated directly behind him during the televised event.

The attendee, dressed in a dark suit and red tie, was seen mimicking Trump’s hand movements and facial expressions as the president delivered remarks at Wheeler High School on Wednesday. The moment, captured on the White House’s live broadcast, quickly circulated on social media, where users shared clips of the brief exchange.

The individual appeared to mirror Trump’s speaking style by exaggerating his hand gestures and facial expressions for several seconds before turning to speak with people seated nearby. The White House did not immediately comment on the incident.

During his approximately 74-minute address, Trump discussed the recent conflict with Iran, referring to it as a “skirmish”, and criticised his Democratic opponents. He also repeated claims about alleged “communists” in the United States and accused them of wanting to damage Mount Rushmore.

Broadcast footage from the rally also showed some audience members talking among themselves, checking their phones or appearing disengaged while the president spoke.

The rally took place hours after Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base to honour four US service members killed amid escalating tensions with Iran following the collapse of a ceasefire earlier this month.
