WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump issued stark warnings of possible destruction if Tehran does not comply with American demands, but Iranian leadership responded with firm vows of resistance.
President Trump claimed that the US has achieved its objectives against Iranian targets and insisted that Iran must not possess nuclear weapons.
Trump emphasised the importance of any proposed deal and dismissed Tehran’s latest proposals as good but not sufficient.
He also highlighted a high‑risk rescue operation in Iran, saying that American forces entered Iranian territory and brought back a downed pilot, despite close‑range fire faced by US personnel.
Warning the Iran of the delays in the dealm, he said that Washington could escalate its military campaign in case Strait of Hormuz is not restored and other conditions are not accepted. He also He also warned that there will be a possibility of destroying key infrastructure in Iran as well.
Such rhetoric has drawn global attention and concern, with critics warning that hostile language could worsen the crisis.
Tehran on the other hand has repeatedly rejected the US pressure outright. The top officials of Iran have reaffirmed that attacks, killings, and crimes cannot weaken Iran’s armed forces and their will to resist.
Iranian authorities condemned Trump’s threats as criminal and insisted that foreign aggression violates international law, especially when it targets civilian facilities like bridges, power plants, and schools.
Likewise, Iran also accused the US and Israel of repeated setbacks, while reassuring that its armed forces remain determined and capable despite ongoing strikes.
The Iranian leadership also denounced attacks on their commanders and defended their defensive posture as necessary against external aggression.
The standoff continues to fuel tension across the Middle East, underscoring the widening gulf between Washington’s military pressure and Tehran’s pledge to resist at all costs.
