WEB DESK: Most parts of the country are expected to remain dry on Tuesday, according to the latest weather advisory, while a persistent cold spell continues across hilly and northern regions. Morning and nighttime temperatures are forecast to drop significantly, particularly in elevated areas.
Going region by region, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that for Islamabad and its surrounding areas, the day is expected to stay dry, with cold conditions prevailing during the early and late hours.
Across Punjab, dry weather is predicted for the majority of districts. Colder temperatures will grip Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding hilly zones. Smog is likely to linger over the province’s plains, reducing visibility, while patches of light fog may develop during morning and nighttime in some areas.
In Sindh, the weather will remain dry across most districts.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region is also set for dry conditions, though residents should brace for cold to extremely cold temperatures, especially after sunset and before dawn.
Dry weather is predicted for most of Balochistan, with northern districts expecting very cold conditions during the morning and night.
Both Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are forecast to experience dry and cold weather, with very cold temperatures expected during early and late hours.
Authorities advise residents in affected regions to take precautions against the cold and reduced visibility caused by smog and fog.
