Two killed in Karachi robbery-related shootings

KARACHI: Within the span of an hour, two individuals lost their lives in separate shooting incidents involving robbers in Karachi.

The incidents occurred near New Karachi Power House and North Karachi Anda Mor.

In New Karachi, one civilian was killed and another injured during a mugging attempt in the Kathiawar neighbourhood.

Police reported that as the robbers attempted to flee, members of the public pursued them, prompting the robbers to open fire, resulting in the death of a young man.

In another incident near North Karachi Anda Mor, an elderly man identified as Shujaat, aged 70, was fatally shot by robbers.

The latest fatalities add to the grim tally of robbery-related deaths in Karachi this year, which has now reached 52. Of these, 13 occurred during the holy month of Ramazan alone.
