Two terrorists killed, three injured in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT: At least two alleged terrorists were killed and three injured during a joint operation by security forces and police in the border area of Lakki Marwat.

The operation against the terrorists in the mountainous regions of Wanda Zareef Wala, bordering Dera Ismail Khan, and the Sheikh Badin mountain range, was completed after 36 hours, security forces said.

During the operation, they said, the terrorists fired with automatic weapons at the police and security forces.

In the retaliatory fire, two terrorists were killed and three injured.

According to the security forces, the killed terrorists were wanted by the Lakki Marwat police and the CTD Bannu for target killings, extortion, bomb blasts, and attacks on police.

A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from the terrorists, both of whom were affiliated with the banned outfit TTP.

The Lakki Marwat district police officer said that such operations against the miscreants will continue.
