The United Arab Emirates has announced relief measures for people holding expired visas, allowing residents living abroad, including those from Pakistan, to return to the country.
According to a UAE spokesperson, individuals with expired residency permits have been granted permission to re-enter the country. Under the decision, residents currently staying abroad, including in Pakistan, will be able to travel back to the UAE.
The statement said that under the new policy, entry into the UAE will be possible without obtaining a new visa. Reports said the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has confirmed the decision.
The spokesperson added that the new directives provide facilitation and relaxed regulations for residents with expired residency permits, enabling those stranded abroad to return to the UAE.
