KABUL: More than a thousand Afghan scholars and religious leaders convened in Kabul this week to issue a unified call against the use of Afghanistan’s territory for any form of militarism, according to Afghan media reports.

During the gathering, participants accentuated that Afghan soil must never be used for military activities and urged the government to prevent any individual or group from traveling abroad to engage in armed operations.

Speakers reiterated that Afghanistan will not allow its territory to be used against any other country, underscoring what they described as a commitment to regional stability.

Several scholars stated that the government has both the authority and the responsibility to take action against any violation of these decisions, signaling strong support from religious leaders for enforcement measures.

The meeting, attended by a broad assembly of over one thousand scholars, highlighted growing efforts by Afghan religious and community leaders to present a unified stance on security, sovereignty, and non-interference in regional affairs.
