Under-treatment patient in Multan tests positive for Covid-19

MULTAN: Nishtar Hospital in Multan has set up a dedicated 32-bed ward to accommodate patients affected by COVID-19, following the confirmation of a COVID-19 case in hospital. This development was confirmed by a spokesperson from Nishtar Hospital.

Earlier this month, for the first time, AstraZeneca – the renowned pharmaceutical company known for its contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic – admitted to the possibility of rare side effects associated with its Covishield vaccine, including blood clots and low platelet count.

The acknowledgement comes amidst a class action lawsuit against the pharma giant, alleging cases of death and severe injury purportedly linked to its vaccine developed in partnership with the University of Oxford.
