LAHORE: Islamabad United secured a convincing seven-wicket win over Pindiz after as Sameer Minhas shined with 70 runs while chasing 159 runs in 14.2 overs in the Pindiz vs Islamabad United clash tonight.

Earlier, Shadab Khan won the toss and chose to bowl first, benifitng from the decision being taken against the Pindiz. The 12th clash of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was being played in Lahore tonight.

Islamabad United displayed an aggressive and controlled batting performance. Chasing 159, they reached 157 for 3 in just 14.2 overs, sealing the match comfortably.

The batting lineup showed depth and intent, capitalizing on loose deliveries and maintaining a high run rate throughout the innings.

On the bowling front, Mohammad Amir was the pick of the bowlers for Pindiz, claiming one wicket for 18 runs in his three overs.

However, the rest of the bowling attack struggled to contain Islamabad United’s strong batting lineup, conceding runs at a high economy rate.

The lower order, led by Dian Forrester, revived the innings with a quickfire 44 off just 19 balls, including two fours and four sixes. Extras and contributions from other batters pushed the total to 156, giving Shadab’s side a target that seems within reach.
