US embassy officials visit Adiala jail to meet three detainees

RAWALPINDI: Three American embassy officials on Friday visited the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi to meet three detainees, who happen to hold US citizenship.

Sources said that the US embassy officials were given a consulor access to meet the three detainees under the Foreign Act. The meeting, which went for nearly one-hour, was held at the office of the additional superintendent Adiala jail, the sources said.

According to sources, three US embassy officials Irfan Jan, Maek Marfi and Raheel Javed met with Abid Malik, Sadeeqa Saeed and Alex, the three detainees.
