US firm AutoAcquire acquires Pakistani AI startup Virtuans in multimillion-dollar deal

WEB DESK: A homegrown Pakistani artificial intelligence company, Virtuans AI, has been bought by U.S.-based AutoAcquire AI in a deal valued in the seven figures, representing one of the faster and more prominent exits for a locally developed AI product.

The acquisition, finalised less than two years after Virtuans AI’s inception, was confirmed by the startup’s co-founders, Raheel Ahmad and Muddassar Sharif, in statements shared with technology outlets.

Virtuans AI specialises in creating self-operating conversational AI agents tailored for sales processes and customer assistance. Its technology automates routine tasks, handles lead qualification, manages interactions across various platforms, and leverages reinforcement learning to continuously enhance capabilities. The system supports over 40 languages, making it adaptable for international use, with applications demonstrated in sectors such as real estate and hospitality.

The platform was engineered entirely by Pakistani developers, showing the growing prowess of local talent in building sophisticated, exportable AI solutions.

AutoAcquire AI, headquartered in the United States, focuses on revolutionising vehicle sourcing for automotive dealerships. It integrates AI to streamline processes including vehicle identification, pricing negotiations, inspections, transportation, and fraud detection into a single efficient system, targeting improvements in the massive U.S. used-car industry valued at around USD one trillion.

Under the terms of the agreement, both Pakistani co-founders will assume senior positions within AutoAcquire AI Raheel Ahmad as Head of AI Product and Muddassar Sharif as Head of AI Technology. They will bring their expertise in agentic AI to help expand the deployment of intelligent agents that function as integral parts of dealership teams.

Financial specifics, including the precise sum and the breakdown between cash and equity, remain undisclosed. The move allows AutoAcquire to accelerate its innovation in agentic AI autonomous systems capable of independent decision-making and action specifically for automotive acquisition workflows.

This transaction highlights the increasing appeal of Pakistani-founded AI ventures to global players, moving beyond traditional outsourcing models toward ownership of core intellectual property and product development. It serves as encouragement for the domestic startup community, demonstrating that high-caliber technology originating in Pakistan can secure international recognition and substantial investment opportunities.

The deal aligns with broader trends in which U.S. companies seek advanced AI capabilities to gain competitive edges in established industries like automotive retail.

No additional details on post-acquisition integration timelines or specific product roadmaps were immediately available, but the combined entity is positioned to advance AI-driven efficiency for large-scale enterprise applications.
