US warns Iran: Trump will ‘unleash hell’ if military defeat ignored

The United States on Wednesday issued a stern warning to Iran, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying President Donald Trump would respond with even greater force if Tehran fails to acknowledge its military defeat.

“President Trump does not bluff and is prepared to unleash hell. Iran should not miscalculate again,” Leavitt told reporters during a briefing. “If Iran fails to accept the reality of the current moment and recognise that it has been, and will continue to be, defeated militarily, President Trump will ensure it is hit harder than ever before.”

As the joint US-Israeli campaign in Iran entered its fourth week, countries including Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt have sought to mediate negotiations to end the conflict. However, uncertainty remains over whether or not any talks will take place.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters on Wednesday that Tehran is still reviewing a U.S. proposal to end the war. Although Iran’s initial response was negative, the official said the country had not rejected the offer outright.

Leavitt confirmed that discussions are ongoing. “Talks continue. They are productive, as the President said on Monday, and they continue to be,” she added.
