What a start to the innings! Canada is on a roll, taking an early wicket in the very first over. Canadian bowler Kaleem Sana dismissed US batter Steven Taylor with a leg-before-wicket (lbw) in less than a single over.

US has currently scored 29 against a loss of a single wicket in 4 overs.

Canada set a target of 195 runs for its rival, delivering an impressive performance with a score of 194 runs and a loss of only five wickets in 20 overs. This marks a great start not only for Canada’s debut in the world cup but also as an exciting opener for the tournament.

US needs to make 195 runs in 19 overs at a required run rate (RRR) of 10.1. The US current run rate (CRR) is 7.25.

What a comeback from the US! Just as it seemed Canadian openers were too persistent to be removed from the crease, Aaron Johnson was out via catch out by Nitish Kumar in a bowl delivered by Harmeet Singh. He left the crease with 22 runs off 16. Not bad!

Pargat Singh takes over from Aaron Johnson, and in very first ball attempted a six. However, he was lucky to not be caught out as well! What a save!

The old rivals will face off against each other at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas, US.

The US team is led by Monank Patel with Aaron Jones as vice-captain. It’s lineup comprises players Corey Anderson, Ali Khan, Steven Taylor, Andries Gous and Nitish Kumar. Additionally, the team has named reserve players like Gajanand Singh and Juanoy Drysdale.

Meanwhile, the Canadian team is under the leadership of Saad bin Zafar. He has assembled a squad consisting of batsmen like Navneet Dhaliwal and Ravinderpal Singh bolstering the middle order, and all-rounders including Dilpreet Bajwa and Nicholas Kirton providing balance.

In the bowling department, Canadian squad has Nikhil Dutta, Jeremy Gordon and Rishiv Joshi.
