Vanessa Trump has opened up about a deeply personal health challenge, revealing that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The former wife of Donald Trump Jr. shared the news in an emotional statement posted to Instagram on Wednesday, telling followers she is now working closely with doctors on a treatment plan.

“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” Vanessa wrote, adding that she had undergone a medical procedure earlier this week.

She also asked for privacy as she focuses on her recovery.

“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she wrote, thanking supporters for their kindness during what she described as a difficult period.

The announcement quickly prompted an outpouring of support, including a public message from Ivanka Trump, who commented on the post: “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.”

Vanessa, who shares five children with Donald Trump Jr., was married to the eldest son of US President Donald Trumpfor more than a decade before the pair divorced in 2018.

In recent months, Vanessa has also drawn public attention for her relationship with golf star Tiger Woods, who confirmed their romance earlier this year.

However, her latest update shifted focus to her health, with Vanessa saying she is remaining hopeful while leaning on loved ones and her medical team.

The former model did not share further details about the stage of her diagnosis or the specifics of her treatment, beyond confirming that she recently underwent a procedure.

Vanessa concluded her statement by thanking well-wishers and reiterating her request for privacy as she begins the next stage of recovery.
