Nawaz Sharif reaches Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, has reached Minar-e-Pakistan where he will shortly address a public gathering.

He has returned to the country after a self-imposed exile lasting four years.

The three-time former prime minister has reached the stage where he will shortly address the Minar-e-Pakistan rally.

Nawaz leaves for Minar-e-Pakistan

Nawaz Sharif, upon arriving in Lahore from Islamabad, boarded a helicopter headed for Minar-e-Pakistan, the site of a PML-N rally to welcome the former prime minister. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and former federal minister Ishaq Dar are joining him on this journey. The helicopter will touch down on a designated helipad near the Lahore Fort’s Diwan-e-Khaas, and from there, Nawaz will be transported to Minar-e-Pakistan in a procession of vehicles.

Islamabad airport

ML-N supremo’s and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has returned to the country after ending four-year self-imposed exile.

His chartered flight ‘Umeed-e-Pakistan’ touched down at Islamabad International Airport at 1:36 pm local time.

PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif departed for Pakistan from Dubai airport via chartered flight FZ 425 at 10:42 am. The flight comprises 164 people with 16 of those seated in the business class.
