RAWALPINDI: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq said that February 8 will mark the end of insecurity, corruption and poverty in Pakistan.
Addressing workers at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, he said that “the people who are with me on stage are the real people. The real servants of the people are with me.”
He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari praises his father Zardari, who praises inversely praise his son. Nawaz Sharif praises Shehbaz and Shehbaz Sharif praises Nawaz.
H said that Pakistan is an important country, second only to Madinah Munawwarah.
“We possess abundant uranium, gold, and silver. Although Pakistan has highly intelligent youth and beautiful places, we are still viewed negatively in the world. Tourists do not come here. We face suicide attacks. Why don’t you ask Nawaz Sharif and Zardari about this? They have ruled for over 40 years, yet corruption, terrorism, and poverty persist,” he said
Sirajul Haq said that “clean water is scarce in our country, and the poor lack access to education and healthcare.”
Without naming Bilawal, he said “a person is seeking votes to become the prime minister because his father was the president and mother prime minister. Do such people deserve a chance again? For forty years, these looters and capitalists have governed Pakistan. When will it be the people’s turn? I want to provide halal livelihood, free education, and healthcare to poor Pakistanis.”
The JI chief said “our currency is weaker than that of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and India, all because of Nawaz Sharif. Vote to the PML-N is equivalent to vote for the IMF. Rs5000 billion worth of corruption happens annually in Pakistan. Voting for these parties means voting for Rs10,000 billion worth of corruption in the future.”
He said that the conflict between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan People’s Party is artificial, like a fake police encounter. The PML-N and the PPP will reunite after election.
