WEB DESK: Citizens who saw an unexpected break after Sam Champion, the Popular New York City meteorologist, who went through a much needed heart surgery will see the “Good Morning America” (GMA) anchor back to healthy life.

Earlier, the update about the Sam’s surgery came after he underwent a cardiac catheterization at Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Fuster Heart Hospital.

Champion said in an Instagram live post that he would be talking with ABC’s chief medical correspondent Dr Tara Narula about his treatment after he has returned to “GMA” on Wednesday, March 25.

Reflecting on the experience, the Champion also spoke about how it was more serious than he first realized.

He said, “I have no doubt that the test that we did saved my life, which is not an easy thing to say.”

He said that the doctors concerned placed two stents during when the procedure began after they specialists accessed his heart.

“I was tested dozens of times and yet I still kept having the same problems,” the WABC-TV meteorologist said.

“I couldn’t ask for a better procedure, a better team, a better outcome, and I want you guys to have exactly the same thing,” the 64-year-old said.

The former Weather Channel personality also asked all the individuals to educate themselves about the importance of regular medical checkups.

Regarding this, “If you’re feeling shortness of breath, or if you’re feeling pain in your arm, or if you’re feeling dizzy or disoriented or any of those things, I want you armed with the things that you can ask your doctor.”

Champion was previously diagnosed with skin cancer and had a basal cell carcinoma removed from his skin live on “GMA” in May 2010 to raise awareness.

The “Good Morning America” weatherman on Sunday shared a picture from a hospital bed as well after his heart procedure. He wrote, “Sam Champion is on the road to recovery.”

Born on August 13, 1961, Champion is a prominent American meteorologist and television personality, best known as the long-time weather anchor for ABC’s GMA and WABC-TV.

His Career include a rich experience, earning him four Emmy Awards. He has served as managing editor for The Weather Channel, and is recognized for his extensive climate coverage.a
