ISLAMABAD: Renowned anchorperson Waseem Badami has addressed criticism regarding his recent invitation of a child vlogger to his Ramazan transmission, stating that the children who appear on his show are considered part of his extended family.

Badami received backlash following his decision to feature Gilgit-based vlogger Muhammad Shiraz on his show. The young vlogger gained popularity through his charming vlogs, offering glimpses into his daily life in Gilgit.

In addition, viral sensation Ahmad Shah has been a regular guest on Badami’s show for the past few years.

The criticism against Badami intensified when an actor posted a video on social media, criticizing Badami for inviting children to his show and allegedly taking away their “innocence.”

“All these kids…I said to their parents two weeks ago, and I mean it because I am fasting, I said that I would treat these kids like I would my own children. I am a parent myself and I believe in karma,” said Badami during his show.

According to Badami, his connection with Shiraz and other children is akin to meeting a child at an event and spending time with them, much like any ordinary interaction with youngsters.
