Don’t want any delay in elections: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Senator Sherry Rehman on Saturday said that the PPP does not want any delay in elections.

She made those statements during the “Pakistan Tonight” program on Hum News with Sammar Abbas. She further elaborated that, according to the constitution, elections are expected to take place within 90 days following the dissolution of the national assembly.

“We were assured that there would be no delay in the elections,” added Rehman.

Rehman further stated that the responsibility of announcing the election date lies with the Election Commission.

“If any party has concerns about a potential delay in the elections, they should alleviate those concerns,” Sherry Rehman added.
