A fresh spell of cold and dry weather has set in across many parts of the country, with the Met Office expecting the pattern to continue over the coming days.

In Islamabad, the weather is expected to stay cold and dry. The capital will see mostly sunny skies, with the temperature rising to around 24°C during the day and dropping to a chilly 9°C before sunrise.

Lahore is likely to experience similar conditions, with a daytime high of nearly 23°C and a low of around 12°C. Shallow smog or fog may appear in pockets across Punjab’s plains during the morning and night, reducing visibility for early travellers.

Karachi is set for a pleasant and sunny day. The temperature is expected to climb to about 29°C, while the early morning will feel cooler with readings around 11°C.

Quetta will remain the coldest among major cities. The provincial capital is likely to reach a high near 17°C, but temperatures may fall to -1°C or even lower overnight. The Met Office warned that hilly areas will feel cold to very cold, especially during the morning and night.

Meanwhile, most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain cold, with many also likely to stay dry. Murree, Galiyat and nearby regions are set for another cold day, while Sindh’s districts are forecast to stay mostly dry.

Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are also expected to experience cold and dry conditions as the current weather pattern persists, according to the Met Office.
