Weather update: Lahore receives scattered rain

LAHORE: Lahore experienced a welcome relief on Sunday as rain swept through the city, offering respite from the sweltering heat and humidity.

The afternoon rain covered various parts of Lahore, including Shimla Hill, Abbot Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Mall Road, Jail Road, and Davis Road. Additionally, rain fell in Ghazi Road, Chungi Amarsidhu, Walton, Cantt, and the surrounding areas.

Areas like Chauburji, Shadbagh, Amir Town, and Kot Lakhpat also received rainfall, as did Model Town, Faisal Town, and nearby neighbourhoods.

The showers significantly reduced the heat, bringing a pleasant change in weather that lifted the spirits of Lahoris.

MD WASA has urged the administration to stay vigilant following the rain and ensure prompt arrangements for drainage to effectively manage water.
