Weather Update: Rain brings relief to Islamabad, Lahore as KP braces for more showers

WEB DESK: Rainfall has brought relief from the heat in Islamabad and Lahore, with pleasant weather conditions prevailing in both cities, while several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive more showers, according to the Meteorological Department.
Islamabad witnessed early rainfall, resulting in a drop in temperature and improved weather conditions. Lahore also received showers, providing relief to residents from the prevailing heat and humidity.
Meanwhile, Peshawar is experiencing cloudy and humid weather, with the temperature expected to rise to 32 degrees Celsius today.
The Met Office has predicted rainfall in most districts of the KP, as several areas received showers during the last 24 hours. Bannu recorded 12mm of rainfall, followed by Kakul with 11mm and Dir with 6mm.
Kalam and Malam Jabba received 4mm of rain each, while Saidu Sharif recorded 3mm during the same period.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned of possible landslides in upper districts due to continued rainfall and advised residents to remain cautious in vulnerable areas.
The authority also cautioned that heavy rainfall may trigger urban flooding in plain districts and urged citizens and relevant departments to stay alert and take necessary precautionary measures.
