ISLAMABAD: Zartaj Gul, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former minister of state for climate change, owns assets worth over Rs10 million.
According to the details of her assets she has attached with her nomination papers, Zartaj Gul owns assets worth Rs10.2 million, which have decreased by Rs0.767 million compared to last year.
According to the details of her assets, she also received 55 tolas of gold as a gift from her father.
Zartaj Gul has more than Rs4.2 million in three bank accounts, and paid Rs0.235 million in taxes last year. She also owns furniture worth Rs30,000.
Nomination papers for election 2024: who made the cut and who faced the axe
It should be remembered that Zartaj Gul’s nomination papers have been rejected by the returning officer in NA constituency (NA-185).
Earlier, she had approached the Lahore High Court against the rejection of her nomination papers. The LHC dismissed her plea after she failed to show up before the court.
Later, she issued a statement from an undisclosed location stating that she was being summoned to the court to arrest her.
Meanwhile, candidates for the general elections 2024 in Pakistan who are unhappy with the decisions of the returning officers regarding their nomination papers can file appeals in the election tribunals from today (Sunday) and till January 3. The tribunal will decide on the appeals till January 10.
The candidates can withdraw their papers till January 12, and the election symbols will be given to them on January 13. The elections will be held on February 8.
