Created by Eric Kripke and based on the comic books by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys premiered in 2019 and became one of Prime Video’s biggest original series thanks to its dark, violent and satirical take on superheroes.

With the show now ending after five seasons, Kripke recently admitted he felt pressure to deliver a satisfying conclusion.

“What makes me most anxious about the final season is really hoping we land the plane,” he told The Hollywood Reporter, adding that audiences often judge an entire series based on how well it ends.
