WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump remains in “excellent health,” according to a White House medical memorandum released on Friday following a recent examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The assessment said Trump demonstrated strong cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological health, along with overall physical fitness. The report was issued after the president underwent a medical evaluation earlier this week during his third visit to the military hospital in the past 13 months.

Speaking after the examination, Trump said the results were positive and that “everything checked out perfectly.”

Trump, who became the oldest person ever inaugurated as US president, has frequently highlighted his energy levels and physical condition, often contrasting them with those of former president Joe Biden, who left office last year at the age of 82 after facing scrutiny over his fitness for office.

Questions about Trump’s health have nonetheless surfaced in recent months following photographs that appeared to show a rash on his neck. Earlier images from July 2025 also drew attention to swelling around his ankles and bruising on one of his hands, which observers noted had been partially concealed with makeup.

The White House memo sought to address such concerns, maintaining that the president remains in strong overall health.
