WEB DESK: Two Pakistan-born professionals have earned coveted spots on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, marking standout achievements in the fields of logistics technology and venture capital in the United States. The recognition highlights their rapid rise as influential young leaders reshaping how goods move and how high-growth companies secure funding.

In the Transportation & Aerospace category, 29-year-old Salman Habib was celebrated for co-founding Burq, a delivery-enablement platform transforming last-mile logistics. Launched in 2021 with his brother Shaban, Burq allows retailers to offer on-demand delivery without building their own networks. The platform integrates more than 500 courier services, including giants like Uber and DoorDash, and now spans over 4,000 cities across the U.S. With over USD 10 million raised and clients such as Albertsons, Safeway and Kroger, Burq has quickly become a major player in an increasingly competitive logistics landscape. Habib said being recognised by Forbes felt “surreal”, crediting his team and supporters for the milestone.

In the Venture Capital category, Hassan Chaudhry, also 29, was honoured for his leadership at BlackRock Private Equity Partners, where he guides investments in fast-growing technology companies from Series C to pre-IPO stages. Since returning to BlackRock in 2023 to help build its Growth Equity platform, Chaudhry has deployed more than USD 800 million. His portfolio includes major deals such as a Series D investment in AI chipmaker Groq, where he serves as a board observer, and a Series F investment in Applied Intuition. He also sits on the advisory committee of Glasswing Ventures II, a women-led AI seed fund.

Forbes praised both honourees for their early-career impact, noting that competition for the list has intensified, with more than 10,000 applicants annually. The publication said this year’s class embodies resilience, creativity and a bold drive to innovate at a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping industries.

Their achievements underline a powerful message: young Pakistanis continue to leave a global mark, proving that talent and determination can carry them to the world’s most influential platforms.
