Why Barrister Gohar removed from chairmanship? Sher Afzal Marwat reveals

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and newly-elected member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has said that Barrister Gohar was removed from the party chairmanship due to his incompetence and poor performance.

In an interview to Geo TV, Marwat said that Barrister Gohar is a simple person but his performance was not satisfactory.

He said that Barrister Gohar was removed from the chairmanship because of his incompetence and poor performance. He said that he had to be active all the time to run the party office, but he did not do so.

The PTI leader said that Barrister Gohar was given three months’ time, but he could not deliver. He said that there were expectations, including the workers’ protest, but Barrister Gohar failed to deliver.

He further said that the leadership’s approach after the election results was not commendable. He said that Barrister Gohar should have led the party, but he failed to do so.

It may be recalled that PTI had announced the intra-party elections a few days before the election, in which Barrister Gohar was nominated for the chairmanship.

However, yesterday PTI announced the schedule of the intra-party election, in which it was stated that Barrister Ali Zafar will be the candidate for the chairmanship.
