Will there be a public holiday on Sep 11, Quaid-e-Azam’s death anniversary?

ISLAMABAD: The 76th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation, will be observed on Wednesday, September 11.
No public holiday has been announced by the government for Quaid-e-Azam’s death anniversary on September 11, as of yet.
The government has the authority to declare a public holiday on this day, but it’s unlikely that one will be announced.
As per the public holiday circular issued by the government for 2024, this day is not included on the list of official public holidays.
The day is traditionally observed with Quran Khawani and Fateha at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi. On this occasion, Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television air special programmes to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s extraordinary role in securing Pakistan’s independence.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah passed away on this day in 1948, shortly after guiding the nation to freedom.
