Winter: updated passport office timings and days

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P) on Tuesday issued a notification regarding updated timings for passport offices across the country during the winter.

As per the notification dated October 17, 2023, the Department of Immigration and Passports (Hqrs) in Islamabad will open from Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, with a prayer and lunch break from 1:00pm to 1:30pm.

The regional passport offices, executive passport offices, and counters in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi and other cities will be open for service from Monday to Thursday, between 9:00am and 2:00pm, and on Fridays from 9:00am to 12:30pm.

Separately, The Establishment Division on Tuesday issued a notification regarding a change in working hours for federal government offices.

The revised working hours will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a designated break for prayer and lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm, also on Monday through Friday.
