ISLAMABAD: Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Mubarak (Nani wala) appeared in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) today in connection with several legal cases, including cybercrime charges. Both social media personalities were ordered not to be arrested upon their arrival at Islamabad Airport, following directives from the court.

The IHC, under the supervision of Justice Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas, had previously issued an order for Butt and Naniwala to appear before the court today. The cases against the two include charges related to cybercrime, as well as their involvement in promoting gaming apps and other controversial activities.

Rajab Butt, who gained widespread fame for his luxury lifestyle vlogs and family-oriented content, has been embroiled in legal battles for promoting betting apps. The YouTuber, who has more than 8.2 million subscribers on YouTube and 2.7 million followers on Instagram, had been living in the United Kingdom. However, Butt was deported from the UK earlier this year after British authorities revoked his visa.

According to reports, Butt’s visa was canceled by the UK Home Department after it was revealed that he had failed to disclose ongoing legal cases in Pakistan when applying for his visa.

After being arrested by UK authorities, Butt was put on a morning flight to Pakistan. He has since expressed his intent to challenge the decision and pursue an appeal in London.

The legal troubles for both Butt and Naniwala have sparked significant attention in Pakistan, as many question the role of influencers in promoting gambling and other controversial content online. The IHC’s handling of the case will likely set an important precedent for similar cases in the future.
