Abhishek Bachchan finally breaks silence on divorce rumours

MUMBAI: Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has finally addressed the persistent rumours of his divorce from his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai.

Abhishek Bachchan has been hitting the headlines for his alleged separation from his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The duo has been married for 17 years and is blessed with a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. From making a solo appearance at Anant Ambani’s wedding to jetting off to New York for a vacation with Aaradhya, Aishwarya has only fuelled the ongoing rumours of her divorce from Abhishek.

According to Indian media, Abhishek has now spoken out about these rumours in an interview with a British Indian news outlet.

During his conversation with “Bollywood UK,” Abhishek reportedly showed his wedding ring, stating, “I am still married.”

The actor also mentioned that things were blown out of proportion, and being a celebrity, he had to bear the brunt. Speaking about it, he said,

“I don’t have anything to say to you about that. You all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. I understand, why you do it. You have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it. Still married, sorry.” 

For the past year, Indian media has been abuzz with speculation, particularly because the couple has often been seen attending events separately.

Whenever the Bachchan family attends an event, Abhishek is frequently spotted entering with his parents rather than with Aishwarya Rai and their daughter Aaradhya. Adding fuel to the fire, Abhishek recently liked an article related to divorce, which further intensified the rumours of their separation.

Additionally, there were reports that Amitabh Bachchan had gifted his daughter Shweta Nanda a luxurious bungalow in Juhu, which allegedly upset Aishwarya Rai.
