COPENHAGEN: Renowned game developer IO Interactive has unveiled plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary with the release of a remastered edition of the 2006’s Hitman: Blood Money.
As per media reports, the remastered version, titled Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal, will bring the iconic stealth action game to both mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch, offering a fresh experience for long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Although, IO Interactive’s recent Hitman trilogy served as a successful soft reboot of the acclaimed assassin franchise, older entries like Blood Money hold a special place in the hearts of dedicated enthusiasts.
Recognised as a groundbreaking release in its time, Blood Money introduced key features such as human shields and weapon upgrades, modernising the tactical stealth sandbox gameplay that defines the series.

The reports indicate that the Reprisal aims to preserve the signature Hitman style while elevating it for contemporary platforms. The action-packed trailer highlights the remaster’s stunning visual enhancements and hints at quality-of-life improvements for increased accessibility.
Among these player-friendly additions is an Instinct Mode, akin to recent titles in the series, providing intuitive guidance and a persistent mini-map to aid players in navigating the expansive levels.
With 12 expansive sandbox environments, Blood Money encouraged inventive problem-solving, offering numerous approaches for eliminating targets, whether through stealth or aggression. “Reprisal” will uphold this freeform design while equipping players with valuable tools.
As per the reports, the Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal is set to launch on mobile devices this fall, featuring comprehensive support for controllers, keyboards, and customisable touchscreen controls, enabling gamers to tailor their experience on the go.
The remastered edition will subsequently make its way to the Nintendo Switch this winter, allowing players to take on Agent 47’s missions either in portable mode or on the big screen.
