Aima Baig marries her ‘best friend’

KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani singer Aima Baig has officially confirmed her marriage to creative director Zain Ahmad, putting an end to days of speculation.

The couple was first seen together publicly in 2024, sparking dating rumours.

Taking to Instagram, Baig posted a heartfelt message alongside a photo, revealing, “Married my best friend last night ALLHUMDULLILAH… still feels like a dream. It actually happened.”

The singer requested prayers from her fans as she embarks on this new journey, writing, “Keep us in your duas as we begin this new chapter together.”

She also promised to share solo photos from the ceremony soon. “Will be uploading our solo pictures eventually, super overwhelmed for now but IA soon.”

Speculation about the couple’s marriage began after a showbiz website claimed that Aima Baig and Zain Ahmad tied the knot in a private ceremony in Canada.

The rumours gained traction after a photo surfaced online showing the couple seated together, with Baig dressed in bridal attire.

While neither Aima nor Zain had previously confirmed the news, fans had been quick to extend congratulatory messages, even as some questioned the authenticity of the reports.

Zain Ahmad is known for his work as the creative director of the Pakistani fashion label ‘Rastah’.

“Rastah was founded in 2018 and is led under the creative direction of Zain Ahmad who grew up in London, Toronto, Vancouver and Lahore. He designs from a deeply personal perspective, often sharing his experiences across the cities he grew up as a vantage point for his design ethos,” his website’s ‘About Us’ page read.

Aima Baig was previously engaged to actor Shahbaz Shigri. The pair announced their engagement in March 2021 but parted ways in September 2022.
