Alia Bhatt to make Hollywood debut with ‘Heart of Stone’

New Delhi: Bollywood star Alia Bhatt’s eagerly-awaited Hollywood debut Heart of Stone will be unleashed on Netflix on August 11.

Directed by The Peaky Blinders famed Tom harper, the movie co-stars the Wonder Woman franchise starlet Gal Gadot and The Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan in the lead roles.

Heart of Stone centers around Rachel (Gadot), an intelligence operative who may come across as a novice in technology but is actually part of an exclusive M16 unit led by the seasoned agent Parker (Dornan). She keeps her affiliation with the Charter, a secretive peacekeeping organisation hidden from both her MI6 comrades and other spies. The covert group employs state-of-the-art technology to neutralize global threats and ensure safety on an international scale.

The spy-thriller, produced by the renowned companies including Skydance, Pilot Wave and Mocking Bird Pictures, released its trailer in June, creating a buzz across the netizens.

Bhatt made her remarkable debut in the film industry with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year in 2012, and since then, she has substantiated her prowess in the cinema through her versatility and range. The Gangubai Kathiawadi star successful body of work has solidified her position as one of the India’s leading stars.

Bhatt will be seen in rom-com Rocky and Rani ki Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh on July 28. Her fans are eagerly anticipating her long-awaited international debut.
