ISLAMABAD: Feroze Khan’s ex-wife, Aliza Sultan, got caught up in an unusual controversy because of what seemed like a harmless meme.
The meme, originally a text post shared on the platform X, prompted Aliza to share it on her Instagram story, which unexpectedly triggered a surge of activity on social media.
The tweet in question read, “I just want one Pakistani drama where the other girl tells the married girl that no one wants your husband.” Aliza appended her own commentary to the post, stating, “Who will tell that husband this?”
Although Aliza meant it in a light and playful way, some people on the internet took the meme seriously and started arguing about whether she was targeting someone specific. This got so intense that Aliza had to explain on her Instagram that the meme didn’t refer to anyone.
Meanwhile, the post came out while people were already talking a lot about Khan and Najiba Faiz. But in a short video, Khan expressed his sadness about how some people try to harm others’ reputations for their own gain.
“It’s sad how, in these times, people, they name other people dirty, just for the sake of a few bucks. It’s just sad,” Khan added.

Feroze stated, “Why can’t we live and let live? Two people can be friends. They can be emotionally or professionally connected. Or, some people could be spiritually connected. Or anything could be bringing them together. So why not just live and let live? I think that’d be really healthy and peaceful for society and for Pakistan at large.”
On the other hand, Faiz, who people linked romantically with Khan due to some pictures on social media, went on her Instagram and Twitter to talk about the situation again. She said that people shouldn’t jump to conclusions based on incomplete or wrong information.
She said, “For those dragging me into this baseless controversy – now posting different photos at different places – doesn’t mean that whoever is with Feroze Khan anywhere shall be taken as me because faces of those girls are not visible.”
She further said that attributing specific events to her without verification is both reprehensible and unethical. “Therefore, if Feroze Khan claims that he finally found the girl of his dreams, it doesn’t mean that she was me (Najiba Faiz) who went with him on hiking and then unfortunately posted the picture on my social media account. So, without verification, claiming such things is highly condemnable and unethical.”
