MUMBAI: Bollywood actresses Ameesha Patel and Sunny Leone were summoned by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) Arbitration Tribunal last week to address long-standing payment issues but they both failed to attend the hearing on Tuesday.

According to the media reports, the association responsible for protecting the rights and interests of producers, distributors, and artists, has announced to take stern action against both actresses.

The media reports said that the complaints were filed against Ameesha and Leone by Haresh Patel from AD Films and Vinod Bachhan from Soundarya Productions respectively.

Bachhan’s complaint sought the return of approximately INR 2.1 million from Leone, which constituted an advance payment for a movie project that never materialised.
